Photographs of churches in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and prisoners held in Gloucester Gaol.
Whilst undertaking research in our home county of Gloucestershire, we became aware of a need in our clients to be able to picture the area in which their ancestors had lived and worked. Since then, we have travelled across the county, and now across Herefordshire too, visiting each of the ancient parishes, taking photographs of every parish church, its churchyard and some of the older buildings in the village. We have endeavoured to keep modern intrusions to a minimum which meant that, in some locations, our choice of subject was very limited.
There are at least 1000 photographs on each CD-ROM. They are in .jpg format and can be viewed by most graphics programs but they are best viewed with the automatic program included which uses your web browser. The photographs on each CD-ROM have been grouped around various centres for convenience.
Should you find that the parishes in which you have an interest are spread across two or more of the CDs, it is possible to 'pick and mix' the areas of interest for a small extra fee. We are happy to provide a service photographing specific items, properties or villages. Should you require further details or need help researching your ancestors in the county of Gloucestershire, please contact us for further details.
