About Us

The Cambridgeshire Records Society was founded in 1972 by the Cambridge Antiquarian Society to publish primary documentary sources relating to the history of Cambridgeshire and neighbouring areas.
The Society's publications are of interest to local and to family historians, and to libraries and schools. The sources bring to life aspects of local society in their time, and also shed light on national events and personalities from an East Anglian perspective. Sources include letters and diaries, surveys, accounts, criminal records, religious and educational records, national and local government records, and reproductions of Cambridge maps from the 16th to the 19th century.
The Society has stocks of all its publications to date. Full details can be seen on our website.
