Charles Evans, FSA, FSG, was well known for his medieval scholarship; it was also his life's ambition to take back his own (and later his wife's) ancestry as far as possible along as many lines as possible. The FMG, with the agreement of his family, have published this collection of his entire published works to recognise the centenary of his birth in 1903. It includes scholarly articles, book reviews, letters to editors, and notes and queries. Many of the papers include the author's own annotations with corrections, additions and amplifications of particular points. For details and the full contents list please see our website at http://fmg.ac. 344 pages. ISBN 978-0-9546812-0-3.

Robert Large was Mayor of London in 1439-1440, and was also the first employer of William Caxton. The author has tackled the genealogical challenge of unravelling a non-aristocratic medieval family, and gives an informative prosopographical account of the 15th century Large family and the Mercers' Company of that period. 100pp. paperback. The small village of Vowchurch in Herefordshire, is the location of FMG's office. This booklet is supplied as a courtesy on behalf of the local PCC. Although there were earlier listings, for this version all records have been checked and corrected and a number of previously unrecorded monuments are included, right up to 2016. All the monuments in the church and graveyard are shown, as well as those recorded in the past but no longer visible. It is a valuable resource for family historians with ancestors in Vowchurch, and includes a location map, indicative cross-references to the parish registers and an alphabetical index of surnames.
