Georgetown School, Merthyr Tydfil

Description

Some of the registers for Georgetown Schools were found in an attic in Merthyr (these have been scanned and indexed) and others had been deposited in the Glamorgan Archives, which have been transcribed. The registers found in Merthyr: Boys:- 1899-1920, Leaving Boys; 1900-1905, Girls: 1865-1904 and 1904-1915 The scanned Registers have been indexed alphabetically and 'as per register' and a procedure to find the entry in the scanned register We have a cut off date for births in School Registers at 100 years to comply with our data protection policy. The girls register actually went to 1924 so we have excluded those later pages. The registers deposited at Glamorgan Archives; Infants: 1874-1883, 1879-1890, 1885-1895 and 1895-1910 The transcribed registers are indexed alphabetically.
