A 32 page A5 booklet written by Peter Hodge, with illustrations and bibliography. Originally published in 1976 then reprinted by Southgate District Civic Voice in 2021 to coincide with the 150th Anniversary of the opening of the Great Northern Railway branch line from Wood Green (Alexandra Palace) to Enfield. Peter Hodge wrote in May 1976 "It is an account, for the general reader, of the construction of the railway, its development into what is now the Hertford Loop, and the effect it has had on the localities it serves".
