About Us

Clwyd County of N Wales, created 1974. For local government and administrative purposes, Clwyd was split in 1996 into the unitary authorities of Flintshire, Wrexham County Borough, Denbighshire, and parts of Conwy and Powys. The "preserved county" of Clwyd was established at the same time, mainly for ceremonial purposes.
