Value Added Tax

Value Added Tax (VAT) is charged for all goods and services purchased through GENfair except:

• Books, Maps and Magazines that are printed on paper (but not microfiche or books in CD format)
• Membership subscriptions and renewals
• Any items delivered to countries outside the European Union which are paid for by purchasers who are outside the European Union
• Postage for zero-rated items

Where an order contains a mix of zero-rated and standard-rated items, the VAT on postage is apportioned by their value according to the VAT Regulations.

The shopping system will automatically calculate the correct VAT rates for your location after you have entered your address at the checkout, but before you are committed to sending in your order.
